Located in the Northumberland National Park, perfect for outdoor activities and great days out.

Located in the Northumberland National Park and Northumberland International Dark Sky Park – considered to be the most tranquil place in the UK – our Bellingham Club campsite will appeal to campers looking for relaxing break as well as those seeking adventure.

This is a level, well maintained campsite with modern facilities, a well-stocked site shop, short dog walk, children’s play area, warm indoor social space, drying room and games room. In addition to its 70 pitches, the campsite offers glamping accommodation in one of its four wooden camping pods. The pods are insulated with sheep’s wool and are ideal for autumn/winter camping breaks. There are modern kitchen facilities available for those using the camping pods, larger groups by arrangement, and for general use at quieter times.

Buses to Hexham stop outside the site and it is possible to connect to the buses serving Hadrian’s Wall.

There are numerous walking and cycling opportunities from the site. You can walk to the busy village of Bellingham (20 mins) and then to the magical Hareshaw Linn waterfall through ancient woodland. Enjoy a walk along the riverbank of the idyllic North Tyne, fish for salmon, cycle the quiet lanes to Greenhaugh village, or spend the day in Kielder Water and Forest Park, northern Europe’s largest man-made lake, which is 25 minutes drive from the campsite. At Kielder, there are many cycle trials of varying length and difficultly, fishing and watersports. As befits an International Dark Sky Park, the whole area has exceptionally low light pollution and offers breathtaking night skies. A visit to the Kielder Observatory takes you closer to the stars.

History lovers will enjoy Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the remarkable National Trust properties of Cragside and Wallington.
